Twenty years after Jools Holland caused a stir by swearing live on children’s tv and Paula Yates persuaded Sting to drop his trousers (thankfully not on children’s tv), iconic 80s music show The Tube is back.
This time however it’s on the radio, not the box, and it’s being recorded right here in Manchester and produced by the Manchester based production company UK 1 FM.
The Tube, with its mix of new and established live music, comedy and general larking around is broadcast on www.Channel4radio.com on the first Friday of every month, and presented by Alex James of Blur fame, Hip Hop Candy’s Emily Rose, and Blue Peter’s Konnie Huq, alongside the inimitable Anthony Wilson.
Listen up now, here comes the exciting bit. How would you and a friend like to be there for the next live recording of The Tube? Sound nice? Well how about if, as well as being in the audience for the show, you could then go behind the scenes and hang out with the bands and the presenters?
To win click here and enter your details.
If that sounds like your kind of evening, then you’re in luck, because we have passes for two readers and their very best friends to be at the live recording on Sunday 10th December 2006.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply fill your details into the form below.
This competition has now closed, congratulations to our winners, Jo Ferguson and Andrew Birley
