THE title, is quite frankly, unforgiveable and yet.....
Dick Whittington – Now That’s What I Call Meowsic! is the rock ‘n’ roll panto this year at the Liverpool Everyman. A toe-tapping, thigh-slapping tale that’s cool for cats as well as bad puns.
Writers Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton, and musical director Tayo Akinbode have worked their magic once again to bring to life a rollicking show for all the family from Saturday 28 November 2009 to Saturday 23 January 2010.
Many moons ago King Rat and Kitti Leetah, Goddess of the Cats, were frozen in time by a mystical stone, but 3,000 years later when legendary explorer Warren Fitzwarren and his niece Scout stumble upon the undiscoverable tomb of the undiscoverable and take the stone – they unwittingly release King Rat and restart the ancient struggle between good and evil.
The dynamic cast will sing and play music by the likes of Kaiser Chiefs, The Beatles, Tom Jones, Michael Jackson and Beyoncé, which are sure to have you dancing in the aisles as we wait to see if Dick can fulfil his destiny on the golden streets of London this Christmas.
We have two pairs of tickets to be won for the evening performance on Wednesday 6 January to give away.
This competition has now closed. Congratulations to our winners.
