Last month we had a great time down at Electrik's Guestrant in Chorlton with three little piggies (click here).
This months's happening is coming via Beth Creedon. This is going to be wild. Literally.
Beth doesn't do the weekly shop. Her food is foraged, hand picked, home grown, hunted, cared for, then prepared and cooked by her good self.
Thus the food is always in season and always locally sourced. It's the sort of food we may have to get used to if Iceland's volcanoes keep having a row with the atmosphere.
What Beth does though is show that home-grown doesn't mean homely, in otherwords nice but not special. Her talented mitts and fertile brain concoct dishes to bask in. Expect classic dishes with exciting ingredients and experimental flourishes as she cooks with an array of flora, fauna and game.
Past dishes include nettle and Jack O’the Hedges ice cream, hawthorn and Sangiunello chili salad, razor clam chowder, rabbit with wild mushrooms.
Tickets are £25. Vegetarian options available if booked ahead. Guestrant provides a social club atmosphere with great food and wine, so you'll be sitting on communal tables and having a chat with other folk. You can get a Golden Ticket by visiting Electrick or pay via Paypal at info@electrikbar.co.uk
Or you could win two tickets (one person and a plus one) courtesy of Confidential.
