Belle and Sebastian Tickets Up For Grabs!

Published on January 25th 2006.

Glaswegian band Belle and Sebastian, famous for their gorgeous melodies and their deep and often surprising lyrics, have in the last decade built themselves a huge and faithful following, so it’s no surprise that most of their current UK tour is sold out. If you’re desperate to see the band on the sold out northwest leg of the tour, look no further. We have a pair of tickets with your name on them.

Well, actually they have Belle and Sebastian’s name on them, but you get the picture. The downside? The tickets are for the Liverpool gig. But if you fancy making the trip over to Merseyside on Friday night, then you can have them. As a massive Belle and Sebastian fan, I had originally bought the tickets for myself, but alas a double staff leaving party on Friday means that I can’t make it, so I thought I would give another fan the chance to go in my place. To put your name in the hat, fill your details in the form below.

Belle and Sebastian, named after that amazing cartoon about the boy and his big white dog, formed in Glasgow ten years ago and since then have released six albums. Their seventh, (and by all accounts, best) album “The Life Pursuit” will be released next month.

If you’ve been lucky enough to get tickets for the one of the sold out Manchester dates at the Ritz, (or even if you haven’t) there will be a free after show party over the road at the Cornerhouse on Sunday the 29th, where Belle and Sebastian’s Chris Geddes will be taking to the decks and capturing in his set the far reaching influences that have made the band so sought after. If you want to be in with a chance of winning a copy of the Late Night Tales session compilation album, fill in your details below! For more details of the after show party, visit www.latenighttales.co.uk

So, to recap. If you want to nab my tickets to the gig at Liverpool academy on Friday, or a free copy of the Late Night Tales compilation album, fill in your details below. If you aren’t lucky enough to get to any of the sold out gigs however, you can get your Belle and Sebastian fix by attending the free after show party on Sunday which starts at 10.30pm – get there early to avoid disappointment!
