Welcome to tenth century China, emperors in lavish golden robes, flamboyant dynasties, armoured warriors, hot and sour soup, vegetable spring rolls, char sui and an Oriental lunch box. Lotus Bar and Dim Sum on King Street have ten pairs of tickets to give away to the screening of the new action packed period film, Curse of the Golden Flower, showing at the Odeon on 10th April.
Curse of the Golden Flower is set in Imperial China telling the story of the Later Tang Dynasty in the year 928. According to producer Bill Kong, one of the brains behind martial arts epic House of the Flying Daggers, this film is about the folly of war and the disintegration of one family under the weight of unrequited love, unforgivable betrayals, and the never-ending thirst for power.
Golly. A suggestion would be to gorge yourself on delicious eastern delicacies at Lotus Bar and Dim Sum first before enjoying the lavish epic.
