FILMS WHICH FEATURE LIVERPOOL have been collated for a new online catalogue. The University of Liverpool will launch the public database at its Victoria Museum and Gallery today. The exhibition will feature around 1,700 titles of footage shot from the late 19th-century to present day and will be included among the exhibits in the new Museum of Liverpool when it opens next year.

A BEATLES QUARTER could be created in south Liverpool to attract tourists to the city. An area around Mossley Hill and Allerton including Smithdown Place, Allerton Road, Rose Lane and Penny Lane could form part of the new quarter. Signs are planned to be put up along the route for visitors. The aim is for tourists to spend longer in south Liverpool rather than staying in the city centre.

I've been saying since before I died there should be a Beatles Quarter in South Liverpool. About time too. It will earn us lots of Money, that's what we want.

Who cares about the beatles. they are dead or dying (good riddance). They have been a burden on popular music for years. Thank god for the rhythmic genius and melodic superiority of rap music. Rap will last forever and will be thrummed out in old peoples homes in 40 years time while the beatles will be dead and buried with vera lynn.
