PEOPLE in Liverpool have the worst mental wellbeing in the North West according to a survey released today.
The North West Mental Wellbeing Survey is the largest and most detailed investigation of its kind ever undertaken.
It concludes people from Warrington have the best overall mental wellbeing in the region – but people in Liverpool have the worst.
The survey took a sample of 18,500 people:
The region's director of public health, Dr Ruth Hussey, said: “Our mental wellbeing affects everything we do.
“This shows those with good mental wellbeing have a higher satisfaction with life and are more likely to be employed, educated and healthy.”
THE ROYAL COURT THEATRE HAS GOT 30-YEAR LEASE from Liverpool council. Officials at the Royal Court said the granting of the lease would allow it to begin the process of raising the money for a redevelopment, said to include a rooftop bar-restaurant and a striking new entrance.
A council spokesman said, “We are keen to support the refurbishment of this listed building and make sure it has a viable long-term future as a theatre.”
MANKEY MONDAY TO HIT THE CITY with 100 of the cuddly toys appearing throughout Liverpool. Created at the ‘Bling Bling HQ’ on Hanover Street, a team of artists have been working to create every variety of monkey imaginable as part of a public arts project.
After their outing, the monkeys will be auctioned off to raise money for Alder Hey.
