A LIVERPOOL FC club secretary who allegedly had an affair with Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has left her job at the club by mutual consent.

Vicki Gough, 30, was at the centre of an investigation by officials at Anfield. Her name was originally revealed on fans’ forums after she anonymously spoke to a tabloid newspaper.

She was alleged to have met England left-back Cole at hotels before matches.Liverpool spokes-man Ian Cotton said: “Vicki’s employment has ended by mutual consent between the club and her. We wish her well in her future career.”

A PANEL of glass fell 70 feet from a luxury city centre residential building on Princes Dock yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Alexandra Tower, on the waterfront, at around 1.30pm yesterday after the 100kg sheet shattered glass over 100 sq ft. Fluctuating weather temperatures from

EVERTON FC player Steven Pienaar was fined £1,000 after he admitted drink driving the day after his team beat Manchester United.

The 27-year-old appeared at Liverpool Magistrates Court in connection with an incident on London Road,on Feb 21.

The South African pleaded guilty after he was caught with 61 milograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood – meaning he was almost twice the drink drive limit.

FOUR terraced houses in Bootle went up in flames in the early hours of this morning.

Fire ripped through the roof space of the derelict properties on Edith Road, Bootle at 5.19am.

It took three crews just under three hours to put out the fire. It is not being treated as arson.
