BLAMING FANS WRONG, SAYS BROWN
On the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy, Gordon Brown has spoken of his memories of 15 April, 1989, and has condemned those who blamed Liverpool supporters for contributing to the carnage.
He told LFC TV: "I also remember how the Liverpool fans helped each other, coming to the aid of people who were in difficulty.
"...I think that's probably what matters most: that people understood that the behaviour of Liverpool fans in helping each other was, as I think the judge said, 'Magnificent'; that it was wrong for people to blame, as some did, Liverpool fans on that day."
But Mr Brown declined to comment on the possibility of families receiving government support in their continued pursuit of justice.
THE BAD NEWS, THE GOOD NEWS
LIVERPOOL has seen the ninth-highest increase in unemployment figures in the last year, but it's not all gloom.
A study by The Work Foundation showed that while the increase of 4,847 people, to 20,055, puts the city in the worst 10 in the country, it actually only shows an increase of 32 per cent – far below the UK average.
MY SWEET WALK

The singer-songwriter will become the 2,382nd name to be commemorated on the streets of Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Capitol and EMI are to release a new posthumous album by the guitarist, and Martin Scorsese is currently directing a documentary feature about Harrison's life and work.
