A GREATER MANCHESTER man has been jailed for life for the murder of Lesley Molseed from Rochdale over 30 years ago. Ronal Castree must serve a minimum sentence of 30 years for abducting, sexually assaulting and killing the 11-year-old school girl in 1975. Her body was later found on moors in West Yorkshire.
HEPITITIS A vaccinations are to be given out to pupils and staff at a Manchester primary school following an outbreak. 400 children are to be offered the jab at Oswald Primary School in Chorlton-cum-Hardy after two children contracted the disease last week. Immunistation is now to go ahead despite the school previously issuing a statement stating the vaccination was not advised for the whole school.
A DRIVER has suffered a fractured skull after a thief threw a brick at the wind screen of the vehicle he was reversing, in an attempt to steal his sat-nav. The incident happened in the Hemmons Road area of Gorton. The 46-year-old driver is now in Manchester Royal Infirmary where his condition is said to be stable.
SVEN GORAN-ERIKKSON is due to arrive in Thailand on Friday to sign three Thai players according to reports. However, the Blues boss has said the trip is for commercial dealings. Speaking to mcfc.co.uk, he said: “We are going with the idea of making the name of Manchester City even better known in Asia. That’s a target for the Club, and I’m also going to meet potential sponsors for the Club. I’m looking forward to it.”
