BUILDERS WORKING in a converted church have discovered human remains. Bones were found by workers at St Paul's Court - a development in a converted church in Bolton. Landowners, Great Housing Places Group said: “We understood that no part of the site had been used for burial”. Police were called when the bones were found. They were later taken to a funeral director to be reburied.

FC UNITED has scrapped their Newton Heath stadium plans after £650,000 of funding was withdrawn. FC United were due to get a 5,000 seat stadium but has floored plans due to a lack of council funding. FC United Manager, Andy Walsh said: “This has come as a shock and disappointment to us. We feel confident that the final outcome will be a stronger proposition for the football club and its supporters.”

OFSTED HAS RATED Manchester as best for teacher training. PGCE courses have been graded as outstanding in a document published by the Government department responsible for inspecting education services. PGCE director, Laurence Hicks said: “We are delighted Ofsted acknowledged how well university-based staff and school based colleagues collaborate to provide what they describe as outstanding outcomes for trainees.”

A CYCLIST’S HEADCAM could help solve a crime. Police have released footage from a cyclist's headcam following a road rage incident in Longsight, Manchester. The 33-year-old victim was on his bicycle when the driver of a black BMW grabbed him by the throat and shouted abuse on 26 January. click here to watch the footage.
