MANCHESTER UNITED has apologised for damage caused to its dressing room at Wembley after last weekend’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to local rivals City, and offered to pay for any repairs. The FA said it was ‘only surface damage’, and they are unlikely to take any action against the club. Emergency repairs were carried out so Stoke could use the dressing room the next day.

FARNWORTH TOWN Football Club, from Bolton, has had its changing rooms stolen from Fern Street Park in Farnworth. The 40ft steel unit, which contained showers, toilets home and away changing rooms, as well goal nets and corner flags was taken late on Friday evening. Farnworth Town play in Division Two of the Wigan and District Amateur Football League.
