BOGUS TRACEY EMIN ART: Art collector, Jonathan Rayfern, 32, from Ancoats has been arrested after a police probe into the alleged sale of forgeries of work by world-famous artist Tracey Emin on eBay. One alleged victim claims to have paid between £15,000 and £20,000 for pieces of art over two years. Artist, Tracey Emin, has provided police with a statement as part of the investigation.

MAN ATTACKED FOR CIGARETTES: Three teenagers stamped on a 25-year-old man's head and fractured his skull after harassing him for cigarettes on a Greater Manchester bus. The attack took place on an 83 bus between Sholver and Oldham in January. Michael Aspin, 18, from Shaw was sentenced to four years in a young offenders institute. Joshua Stagg, 18 from Werneth, was sentenced to 12 months in a young offenders institute. A 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was sentenced to a two-year community order and given a six-month curfew.

GO TO WORK ON AN EGG is the new suggestion from health experts who have found eggs to be one of the cheapest and best forms of protein available. The report by the British Egg Industry Council states that eggs contain more vitamins and minerals than chicken, beef, fish or tofu.

SALFORD CITY REDS will be able to move into their new stadium by the end of 2011. The club has announced that work has begun to prepare the site for the £26m stadium. The new stadium will have a capacity of 15,000.
