Over at Old Trafford, United fans have taken down the '35 years' banner but Andrew Kilduff, of Stretford End Flags, said a ‘new version will be up for the Blackpool game on Sunday.’
AN OPERA starring babies will open the Manchester International Festival. The BabyO show will combine recorded music with live singing, using sounds and words that babies can understand. The children used will be aged between six months and two years. The show’s composer is Rachel Drury, and it is produced by the Scottish Opera Company.
A PAEDOPHILE with a library of more than 250,000 indecent images of children has been jailed indefinitely. Gary Salt was a ‘senior operator’ in the Wonderland Club, a worldwide paedophile ring. He was jailed for 12 years in 1998 and released last April. Salt was spotted viewing an indecent image in Old Trafford Library last December.
A DISABLED man has had his wheelchair stolen in Broadfield Park in Moss Side, while carrying out rehabilitation exercises. The victim was discovered lying on the ground in the rain after a man made off with the wheelchair in a blue van. The thief is described as white, aged 25 to 30, 5ft 8ins tall with short fair hair, wearing a white t-shirt and jeans.
