THE UNITARIAN CHAPEL on Upper Brook Street, Manchester, is among the 10 most endangered buildings in England and Wales, according to the Victorian Society. The roof of the Grade II-listed chapel, which dates back to the late-1830s, has been taken off for safety reasons and the Victorian Society wants Manchester City Council to ensure the rest of the building is protected. The other buildings are in Leicestershire, Birmingham, Stoke-on-Trent, Sheffield, Grimsby, Liverpool, London and Vale of Glamorgan
CITY LOOKING FOR YOUNG FOOTBALLERS: The Blues are looking for youngsters aged 11-16 from across the globe to complete a number of skills challenges and post online video clips of their performances. One will then be selected by the club’s Academy and get to experience life as a footballer. They’ll get to train at the club’s Carrington complex, attend a press conference, have their fitness levels tested and sit on the bench before a European match. OXFORD ROAD SEX ATTACKS UPDATE: A 22-year-old man has been arrested by police officers who were patrolling on Cavendish Street in Hulme. Greater Manchester Police stepped up patrols following six reported assaults throughout September in the Oxford Road and Rusholme areas of South Manchester.
NOEL GALLAGHER FEAT. CARLOS TEVEZ: The former Oasis star has said he would like to collaborate with the Manchester City striker. Gallagher, who is an avid City fan told the Sun newspaper: "If he ever wants to bust the guitar out and do a bit, I'm always available."
