Adams said: “I was cold and shivering - I was only wearing a little cardigan - so I rang for the ambulance. In hindsight, it was wrong to do what I did, but I'm trying to forget about it.”
A FUEL DEMONSTRATION is planned for this Saturday 1 May. The demonstration will begin on the M62 in West Yorkshire at 9am. It will then continue onto the M60 and then from M60 junction 12 onto the M602 towards Manchester. Some demonstrators will then leave the M602 at the roundabout with the A57 Regent Road and use the A5063 Trafford Road into Salford Quays.
A PET SHOP OWNER who was given an electronic tag after selling a goldfish to a 15-year-old boy, has won an appeal to have the device removed. Joan Higgins, 66, who owns Major Pets in Sale, was prosecuted by Trafford Council after it sent an under age boy to make a test purchase last July. Appeal judge Adrian Smith has since said the curfew was "inappropriate".
PLATT FIELDS PARK is almost 100 years-old. In celebration, the Platt Fields Park Centenary Festival will take place from Friday 7- Sunday 9 May. The event is free and will feature bands, performances and family fun.
