A BANK CARD THIEF who went to the same cash point over 50 times to try and guess the PIN numbers of cards he'd stolen has been jailed. Trevor Agnew, 44, thought if he kept trying the same machine he may guess the numbers, despite the odds being one in 10,000. After several attempts, the cash machine on Stockport Road, Timperley, was then filmed by police. Agnew has now been jailed for three years and four months.
PENALTIES for possession of cannabis will be stricter when the drug is upgraded to class B in January 2009. Those caught with cannabis for a second time will be fined £80 and after three strikes will be arrested. The government have made the decision to upgrade because of fears over the use of stronger strains of the drug.
A BUS has collided with a building in Old Trafford. Motorists are advised to avoid the junction of Upper Chorlton Road and Kings Road following the accident. The bus collided with a VW Polo and then went through a perimeter fence before colliding with the outer wall of the nearby Territorial Army Centre on Monday afternoon.
REAL MADRID COACH Bernard Schuster claims Cristiano Ronaldo will join Real Madrid next summer. The Sun newspaper has reported that Schuster said: “Manchester United are going to find it very difficult to retain Cristiano next summer. He’s full of pride about the idea of coming to Real Madrid, we are full of hope we’ll sign him next season.”
