THE MOTHER OF Britain’s Got Talent star George Sampson has been accused of dumping 16 bags of her son’s fan mail. Lesley Sampson pleaded not guilty to charges of fly-tipping during an appearance at Warrington Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, after allegedly dumping the bags of mail outside her home on Lyster Avenue, Warrington. The case has been adjourned for a pre-trial review to take place at the same court on 24 August.
A MAN HAS BEEN ARRESTED after shots were fired at people visiting a crop circle in Wiltshire. Police said a man aged 62 from Oldham, was being held on possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence. He has been released on conditional bail pending further inquiries.
RICKY HATTONhas been rushed to hospital by his distressed fiancée who feared he had swine flu. The Hyde-based 'Hitman' is in the private Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle where he is on a drip, ‘but still conscious’, and undergoing medical tests.
AN 18-YEAR-OLD GIRL has died and two boys have been injured in a house fire in Openshaw. The injured boys, aged 14 and eight, were said to have suffered 90% burns. Their conditions are described as "critical", with the boys’ parents being treated at Tameside Hopsital. Two other boys and a 15-year-old girl are also being treated after they inhaled smoke at the fire in the three-story property in Ashton Old Road, Openshaw at around 5am this morning. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
